General Summary

GDIT is seeking candidates to support the US Army G2. Under the Army Intelligence Information Technology Environment Support (ARIES) task order, the G2 supports numerous Army organizations providing mission critical intelligence tailored to the needs of Army senior leaders throughout the globe. The ability of these organizations to provide this needed intelligence is dependent on the availability and successful operation of their Information Technology (IT). The ARIES contract provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, engineering and cybersecurity services to ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of the organization’s IT systems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Software/Web Developer will:

  • Support software and web architecture development, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools, and integration (with both new and legacy systems)
  • Interact with customers and development team to gather and define requirements
  • Analyze and study customer requirements to determine the most effective software and web technologies to satisfy their needs
  • Design, create, test, and maintain software and web based applications and content solutions to satisfy customer requirements
  • Follow a formal design process using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design techniques and also adhere to laws, standards, and established guidelines for development and delivery of software and web applications (e.g., software reuse, modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, fault tolerant)
  • Coordinate creation and collection of necessary technology components and integrate them into a coherent site design
  • Design and develop visually-pleasing, content rich, user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigation
  • Develop and maintain software and web development technical documentation to assist with software and web application maintenance and upgrades
  • Provide software process management and configuration management throughout the software / web development lifecycle
  • Possess knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in web software development
  • Possess a proficiency in the use of one or more web technologies

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in web software development and design
  • Proficiency in the use of one or more web technologies such as ASP.net, C#, VB.net, JavaScript, C++, Shell, HTML, PHP etc.
  • Experience with SharePoint

Certifications

  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level I Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract
  • Required Baseline/Security Environment Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent
  • Desired Computing Environment Certification: CIW Web Developer, Certified Web Developer, or CSS3

Security Clearance

TS/SCI required

Additional Qualifications

Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract

Education

High School diploma/GED with 8 years of related experience, or Associate's degree with 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience

Qualifications

2-5 years of related experience in web software development
